Miley Cyrus supports the Libby Ross Foundation, and recently decorated a yoga bag for an auction to raise funds for the charity’s yoga program. The foundation promotes early detection of breast cancer, as well as research to eradicate the disease and support programs for victims. On September 14, 2008, Cyrus joined the Jonas Brothers in a special concert for City of Hope in Los Angeles. she is supporting a number of charities and foundations , Get Ur Good On Founded by Miley herself and Youth Service America in 2009, Get Ur Good On is an online organisation that connects young people with volunteer and community service opportunities. A network where the youth can support each other in their missions to do good in their communites.  there are many Foundations she is supporting like Make-A-Wish Foundation, City of Hope,  Amnesty International, DonateMyDress.org,  Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation,  Feeding America.

Cyrus, attended the amfAR LA Inspiration Gala in Los Angeles, whose goal is to raise money for AIDS research and create awareness. Cyrus bought a photograph at the auction for $300,000. She also gave an additional donation of $200,000 to the American Foundation for AIDS Research(amfAR).

 Miley has also taken part in other projects with Disney and often visited sick children in hospitals.

Miley Ray Cyrus born on November 23, 1992 in in Franklin, Tennessee, a suburb of Nashville. Her name was derived from her parents' belief that she would accomplish great things, and she was given the nickname "Smiley", later shortened to "Miley", because she often smiled as an infant. She officially changed her name to Miley Ray Cyrus in 2008; her middle name honors her paternal grandfather. Cyrus attended Heritage Elementary School. She was raised Christian and was baptized in a Southern Baptist church prior to moving to Hollywood in 2005. She attended church regularly while growing up and wore a purity ring.

 

At age 11, Cyrus learned of the casting for what became Hannah Montana, a Disney Channel children's television series about a schoolgirl with a secret double life as a teen pop star. Hannah Montana premiered on March 24, 2006, to the largest audience for a Disney Channel program, and quickly ranked among the highest-rated series on basic cable, elevating Cyrus's wealth and fame. In 2007, Cyrus's double album, Hannah Montana 2: Meet Miley Cyrus, launched a tour: "Best of Both Worlds." , In 2009, Cyrus starred in the feature film Hannah Montana: The Movie. Both the film and its soundtrack, which contained twelve songs performed by Cyrus, achieved commercial success. Its lead single "The Climb" became a Top 40 hit in twelve countries. In 2012, Cyrus recorded a cover of the Bob Dylan song "You're Gonna Make Me Lonesome When You Go", which was featured on the tribute album Chimes of Freedom: Songs of Bob Dylan Honoring 50 Years of Amnesty International. Beginning in 2012, Cyrus recorded various performances of herself doing covers classic songs.

 

While working on the album, Cyrus appeared in various collaborations. She provided guest vocals for the Rock Mafia song "Morning Sun", and provided background vocals for the song "Decisions" by Borgore. On 1 July 2014, Forbes published a list of the most powerful celebrities of the moment, Cyrus placed at #17.
