"Goal4Africa was inspired by Nelson Mandela’s 90th birthday on 18 July 2008, and the FIFA World Cup in South Africa in 2010. It aims to raise money for the educational needs of children in Africa. The concept is simple; users donate to the fund when their favorite team or player scores a goal. Goal4Africa is a not for profit foundation established under Dutch Law and is a registered charity in the Netherlands. In addition to the Dutch foundation Goal4Africa has two subsidiary foundations in the UK and Germany. Both of these are also registered charities in their local jurisdictions The Goal4Africa Global Foundation works with a dedicated team of professionals who are in charge of promoting the concept and implementing the fundraising mechanism. Goal4Africa is further supported by volunteer partners who help the Foundation with the organisation of the kick off events, marketing and communication, digital support, logistics organisation and coordination, sponsoring, establishing and maintaining strategic contacts with football clubs and football players. The organization is still growing as more and more partners are joining Goal4Africa. More information: www.goal4africa.org"
