"Mission It is the goal of Refuge Foundation to refresh leaders by bringing them to Montana, Oregon, and other locations around the country away from the rigors of nonprofit life to take them fishing or golfing, serving them, caring for them, encouraging them and partnering with them on a monthly basis to educate them about leadership burnout. By serving, educating, and refreshing leaders globally Refuge Foundation will help to create physically, intellectually, emotionally, and spiritually healthy leaders who are refreshed, refueled, and revitalized for their call to change the world. Long Term Goals Our goal is simple. We want to reach as many leaders as possible with our vision and offer them tools to avoid leadership burnout. We have a ten year plan with goals for sustainable growth. We depend totally on donor support. The more money we can raise, the more retreats we can offer and the more leaders we can help. We have the lofty goal of spreading this simple vision to every leader on the planet – if leaders are healthy, then the people and the organizations they serve will benefit. Currently we have partners that share our vision and have the means to satisfy our need for accommodation for our Refuge Retreats. And working with these partners is rewarding and mutually beneficial. In the future, we believe owning and operating full service retreat centers may become necessary to fulfill our mission. The growth of Refuge Foundation is sustainable, simple and organic. As we grow, we reach more leaders who need help. We are in year three of a 1, 5, 10 and 20 year growth structure/business model. Year one included organization, planning and aligning partners. We conducted three trips our first year, and we’ve increased that number each successive year. In year five we hope to run twelve to twenty Refuge Retreats."
